Donald Trump was said to have been so enraged by the small turnout at his rally kicking off July 4 celebrations in Washington, DC, that he ordered White House officials to delete images of the sparse crowd.
The President gave a 30-minute speech last week at the Great American State Fair, boasting about his administration's accomplishments heading into the nation's 250th birthday.
Images from Trump's talk showed a sparsely attended event, while footage captured attendees leaving in the middle of it.
Trump was 'livid' after viewing aerial photos of the crowd. He was reportedly not aware of the low attendance while on stage.
According to CNN, the visual bothered the President so much that he immediately ordered all White House accounts to delete their posts and began lashing out on social media, claiming the crowds were 'packed to the brim.'
White House officials have also begun to attack each other privately over Trump's scheduled speech on Saturday, when temperatures are expected to exceed 100 degrees.
'I do not understand why we are doing this so late,' a source told CNN. 'I’m really not sure who thought this was a good idea.'
The Daily Mail has contacted the White House for comment.
The President on Wednesday reaffirmed his commitment to give a 'really long speech' in the smoldering heat.
'On July 4, it’s going to be approximately 107 degrees out, and I’m going to go, and I’m going to make a really long speech just to show that I can do anything,' Trump said.
Strict security measures from the Secret Service and DC police also limited the event's overall appeal, as attendees were prevented from bringing food or water bottles into the area.
When the Daily Mail visited the fair over the weekend, there were visitors fuming at the prices of hot dogs and sodas. Childr
