July 2nd, 2026 - Bayonne, NJ: The USS Kearsarge this morning anchored in the middle of New York Harbor for America's 250th Anniversary celebrations that will include it serving as the center piece and judging platform of a naval review of warships scheduled to enter and visit the harbor over the July 4th weekend.
A US Coast Guard ship and a German Navy vessel, the FGS Sachsen, could be seen traveling past the USS Kearsarge and up the Hudson River with the Brooklyn and Manhattan skyline in the background. A separate large naval ship could also be seen getting prepped to dock somewhere in the vicinity of the docks in Stapleton with the Verrazzano Bridge in its background.
