Thousands of Somalis, joined by their dutiful Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN), gathered in the Mecca city of Minneapolis over the weekend to celebrate Somali Independence Day on American soil.  Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Keith Ellison also joined the rally and delivered remarks, both speaking in Somali.
