Ahead of the Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models launch, the lineup's secrets have reportedly been caught in a data leak after hackers published confidential files stolen from supplier Tata Electronics on the dark web. According to Reuters, the leaked information included photos of unreleased iPhone 18 Pro devices, detailed supplier lists and component maps. This breach has been linked to the ransomware group World Leaks.

As per Reuters, the leaked files included sensitive documents that identify companies supplying hundreds of parts for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The documents reportedly map major components such as batteries, chips and camera modules to respective suppliers.
Moreover, the report also notes that several files carriedApple’s confidential markingsand internal code names associated with the iPhone 18 Pro series. Among the leaked files are images believed to show iPhone 18 Pro models undergoing drop testing at a Tata Electronics facility earlier this year.
These images reportedly show a grey smartphone with a conventional slab design, the Apple logo on the back and a triple camera setup.
Tata Electronicshas become one of the most crucial manufacturing partners of Apple in India. The company assembles and manufactures the iPhones.
The leaked supplier documents reportedly expose Apple’s manufacturing networks. These records show where the company sources components from multiple suppliers. Such data could potentially benefit competitors, counterfeit manufacturers and even give suppliers greater insight into the sourcing strategy of Apple.
Earlier this month, it was reported that the World Leaks ransomware group had claimed responsibility for leaking over 2,00,000 files stolen from Tata Electronics. Those files allegedly included older Apple design documents as well as data related to Tesla, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and Qualcomm.
Notably, this report comes at a time when Apple is anticipated to launch its iPhone 18 Pro series in September. Last week, the tech giant increased the prices of several iPads and MacBooks due to rising memory and storage chip costs, leading analysts to speculate that iPhone prices could also rise in the near future.
