Strong earthquake rocks eastern Afghanistan: AFP journalists

A strong earthquake rocked eastern Afghanistan on Friday, AFP journalists in the capital Kabul and Nangarhar province said.

The 5.8-magnitude quake struck around 130 kilometres (80 miles) northeast of Kabul, the United States Geological Survey said.

Agence France-Presse (AFP) is a French international news agency headquartered in Paris, France. Founded in 1835 as Havas, it is the world's oldest news agency.
