Pune police on Sunday recreated the crime scene at Maharashtra's Lohagad Fort with Siya Goyal, the prime accused in the alleged murder of her fiancee, Ketan Agrawal. She allegedly walked investigators through every step of the crime. According to police sources, the scene reconstruction began at around 8:30 am, during which Siya showed officers the route she took to reach the fort, explained how the alleged murder was carried out, and pointed out the exact spot where co-accused Chetan Chaudhary was allegedly hiding before the attack.

Investigators also carried a mannequin, which was used to recreate how the alleged crime is believed to have unfolded on June 18.

A police team reached the fort with Siya at around 8 a.m. and spent nearly two and a half hours at the spot conducting the reconstruction. The team returned around 10:30 a.m. Several senior police officers were present throughout the exercise to supervise the investigation and examine the scene in detail.

Police said Chetan Chaudhary, the other accused in the case, will also be taken to Lohagad Fort separately for a similar reconstruction exercise. Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary have been arrested for allegedly conspiring to kill Ketan Agrawal. Police claim the two planned the murder after Siya allegedly decided she did not want to marry Ketan but feared that calling off the wedding would bring embarrassment to her family.

The investigation is continuing, with police examining the planning of the alleged crime, the accused's movements, digital evidence and other material linked to the case.

As a security precaution, the entry gate to Lohagad Fort was temporarily closed during the reconstruction. Tourists and members of the public were not allowed inside until the process was completed.

According to investigators, the objective of the exercise was to verify the sequence of events, corroborate evidence already collected, and better understand how the alleged murder was carried out on June 18.
