Tata Motors has officially launched the Tata Punch EV facelift in India. The electric car starts at Rs 9.69 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The BaaS model is also there for Rs 6.49 lakh (starting, ex-showroom). The updated Punch EV is set to take on rivals like the Citroen eC3 and Tiago EV. The brand is offering a segment-first lifetime battery warranty with unlimited kms. The bookings are now underway. There are three new colour options in the form of Fearless Yellow, Bengal Rouge and Caramel. The revamped Punch EV has a ground clearance of 195 mm and a water wading capacity of 450 mm. The 127 hp motor allows the EV to go from 0 to 100 km/h in about 9 seconds. There are three driving modes: City, Eco and Sport. Apart from this, you get 4 regen levels with paddle shifters.
A 7.2 kW or 3.3 kW charger will charge the vehicle. You can also opt for a 65 kW fast charger. The brand says that the faster charging allows a 20 to 80% recharge in 26 minutes. This allows a range top up of 135 km in 15 minutes.
