A dark cloud of scrutiny has arrived at Princess Beatrice's door following the arrest of her father,Prince Andrew, who was taken into custody by British police on 19 February. According to multiple reports, the arrest is linked to material emerging from the latest tranche of US Department of Justice files connected to Jeffrey Epstein, which continue to circulate online.
Since the arrest, attention has turned toward the wider York family, particularly Beatrice, whose name appears more than 200 times in the released documents.
Reports also state that Epstein paid off around £60,000 in debt tied to the York family and covered certain travel expenses, prompting renewed questions about the extent of financial assistance provided.
Prince Andrew's recent arrest marked a significant development in the long-running fallout from his association with Epstein, the convicted sex offender who died in 2019. Since January 2026, the DOJ has been releasing tranches of Epstein-related material, including emails and court documents.
According to reports,Princess Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie, are mentioned repeatedly in the files. Those references largely appear in correspondence between Epstein and their parents, Andrew andSarah Ferguson.
It should be noted that none of the reviewed documents points towards any criminal wrongdoing by Beatrice.
Long before her marriage to property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and her current role as founder of tech advisory firm BY-EQ, Beatrice was known for an active social calendar and frequent overseas travel.
In 2015 alone, she was photographed skiing in Verbier, attending parties in St Tropez and Ibiza, and spending time aboard luxury yachts in the Mediterranean. Reports at the time estimated the cost of her travel that year could have reached £300,000, based on flights, accommodation and yacht charters.
At the time, Beatrice had previously worked in a junior role at Sony with a reported salary of under £20,000 before later moving into private equity. Questions over how those trips were funded resurfaced this week following Andrew's arrest and fresh examination of the Epstein files.
