Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt just revealed what many Patriots suspected all along – the Republican establishment isn't ready to embrace President Trump's vision for the future, even when it comes to his handpicked Vice President JD Vance.
Speaking at the Politico Governors Summit in Washington D.C. on Thursday, Stitt made his intentions crystal clear: he wants a governor, not Vance, to lead the GOP ticket in 2028. The timing couldn't be more telling – just three weeks into Trump's second term, and already the knives are coming out.
"I'd like to see the Republican Party nominate an experienced governor for president in 2028," Stitt declared, in what can only be described as a thinly-veiled shot at Vice President Vance, who has never held executive office.
But let's call this what it really is, folks. This isn't about qualifications – this is about the same old establishment playbook we've seen for decades. The moment Trump picked Vance as his running mate, he signaled to America that the MAGA movement would continue beyond his presidency. And that terrifies the swamp creatures who want to return to business as usual.
Stitt's comments reveal the arrogance of the so-called "Governor's Club" – a collection of state executives who believe managing a state budget somehow trumps the America First agenda that has transformed our country. These are the same types who probably thought Jeb Bush was the "safe choice" back in 2016.
What Stitt conveniently ignores is that Vance brings exactly what this country needs: a sharp legal mind, unwavering loyalty to the Trump agenda, and a deep understanding of the working-class Americans who built this nation. Meanwhile, many governors have spent their careers cutting deals with the same lobbyists and special interests Trump came to Washington to defeat.
The question Patriots should be asking is simple: Will we let the establishment hijack the MAGA movement the moment Trump leaves office, or will we stand behind the man Trump himself chose to carry the torch forward?
