Concerned over her brother and former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan’s deteriorating health, Aleema Khan, offered a deal to Shehbaz Sharif-led government to ensure proper medical treatment for her brother,CNN-News18has learnt.

Aleema Khan said that she is ready to refrain from naming Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir in public if authorities arrange a meeting with former premier and allow him to receive proper medical treatment.

“I am offering them a deal today. They arrange our meeting with Imran Khan and get him treated, we won’t take anyone’s name," she said.

Specifically addressing General Munir, she said, “Transfer Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad and have him treated in our presence. In return, we won’t take your name."

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief’s sister expressed concern over her brother’s deteriorating eyesight and said that the family’s immediate concern is Khan’s eyesight. “We only want to try to save Imran Khan’s eye," she stated, adding that once he is granted bail, they plan to shift him to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre for further treatment.

Aleema Khan further said that if the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court hears both of Imran Khan’s pending cases, his release could become possible.

She also alleged that there were earlier assurances from Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi about transferring Khan to hospital, but claimed those promises were not fulfilled. “When party people were calling me that Mohsin Naqvi was guaranteeing that Imran Khan would be taken to Al-Shifa International Hospital, I told them then that he was lying and it was proven that Naqvi was lying," she said.

Aleema Khan further accused the Pakistani government and military of plotting to “kill" the jailed cricketer-turned-politician. She said that Imran Khan had told her sister during their last meeting that his life was in danger. “Imran Khan said Asim Munir would kill him," she alleged.

Earlier, during a press conference, she specifically named Asim Munir and Mohsin Naqvi as part of a “lethal conspiracy."

She further questioned why personal doctors were not being allowed to examine Khan and demanded transparency. “If Imran Khan is not being poisoned, why is he afraid that we will conduct a blood test?" she asked.
