The UFC Freedom 250 card is taking place on the South Lawn of the White House on Sunday.
The event is taking place on Flag Day and President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday, as part of the “America 250” festivities celebrating the United States’ 250th anniversary.
One main event will feature lightweight champion Ilia Topuria defending his title against Justin Gaethje, while the co-main event pits Alex Pereira against Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title.
Seven high-stakes fights are scheduled to stream live from the White House grounds.
The ceremonial weigh-ins were held on the Ellipse, part of the National Mall area, drawing large crowds.
During the proceedings, a trained bald eagle flew directly over the stage and spectators, prompting immediate and enthusiastic chants of “USA!” from the crowd.
