“Blu Zeke Daly,” also known as “Cullan Zeke Daly,” was indicted in May on federal charges of attempted murder of a federal officer and assaulting a federal officer with a dangerous or deadly weapon.

The charges stem from a February incident in Stewartstown, New Hampshire, near the Canadian border.

According to a Department of Justicepress release, a Border Patrol agent initiated a traffic stop on Daly.

After Daly provided a driver’s license and then drove away, the agent followed.

When Daly reached the locked Pittsburgh Port of Entry, the agent activated emergency lights and approached the vehicle on foot.

Daly allegedly turned the car around and fired a handgun at the agent through the window.

The agent returned fire, striking Daly in the head.

Daly’s vehicle then crashed into a snowbank.

Daly was seriously wounded and has been receiving medical care since the shooting.

In May, Daly pleaded not guilty to the charges from a hospital bed.
