Jennifer Coffindaffer explained on X that the rucksack carried by the kidnapper was available only at Walmart. She further mentioned the sheriff's belief that the remaining garments worn by the offender were also purchased from the same shop.

An unaffiliated investigator added to the speculation surrounding the retailer, noting that the kidnapper appears to be wearing a Hulboex mask. They noted that while Walmart carries these items, they are available only through its online shipping service.
