The Islip Animal Shelter is holding a Valentine’s Special until Feb. 21. The shelter will have reduced adoption costs in the hopes that their animals meet their fur-ever home. For every animal adopted, another animal at the shelter will receive a Valentine’s treat.
Here’s a few of their animals that are currently waiting for a home. Abby is a German shepherd mix that arrived last October from the animal hospital, and was found wandering the streets.She’s anywhere from 1 and 1/2 to 3 years old and knows how to sit very well. She even knows commands like sit. One of her favorite activities is to take a nice walk.
Coral is a white brindle pitbull mix, and she’s quite the ball of energy. Her tail is always wagging and she loves meeting friendly faces. She was only 7 months old when she arrived last July, and now she’s just over a year old! She’s a well-behaved girl that also knows commands like sit.
Finally, we have a cat that doesn’t have a name yet. She is around 1 to 2 years old and loves to chirp. Very affectionate, she’s always happy to climb and play with her toys. Her cat tree is fun, but she prefers brushing on people she loves even more.
