In a surprising turn of events, it has been confirmed that Bill Gates, who was also one of the biggest highlight of the AI Impact Summit 2026 is not going to attend the event.
A post came at 8:22 AM from the official X account of Gates Foundation today suggesting that Bill Gates will not be attending the AI Summit 2026. The post read, 'After careful consideration, and to ensure the focus remains on the AI Summit’s key priorities, Mr. Gates will not be delivering his keynote address. The Gates Foundation will be represented by Ankur Vora, President of Africa and India Offices, who will speak later today at the Summit. The Gates Foundation remains fully committed to our work in India to advance our shared health and development goals.'
Originally, Gates was supposed to be one of the primary speakers at the event and everything was in place. However, the recent release of Epstein files and his involvement in the whole matter has not worked very well for the tech tycoon. And this could be a major reason why he could have been decided to drop the plan to attend the summit as the central speaker.
