The Patchogue Village election will take place on Wednesday, March 18. The change in the day of the week is due to the conflict with St. Patrick’s Day as elections are not allowed to be held on the Catholic holiday.
The polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 9 p.m. For 2026, the Knights of Columbus will no longer be utilized as a polling place. The two remaining polling places include:
Village Hall, 14 Baker Street. Voters in election districts 16, 17, 18, 23 and 103.
The Joseph E. Keyes Jr. Parks and Recreation Center, 380 Bay Avenue. Voters in election district 15, 19, and 20.
Running unopposed for re-election are trustee Susan Henke Brinkman, trustee Kevin Weeks, trustee Stephen Fuoco and village justice Kerri N. Lechtrecker.
Mayor of Patchogue Village, Paul Pontieri, sent a notice to village residents earlier in the month urging the re-election of the aforementioned candidates.
“Together, we have experience you can trust, forged by our accomplishments and the measure of our commitment to serve the entire Patchogue community,” wrote Pontieri.
Pontieri noted that recent years have been characterized with “difficult social, economic, and public health issues,” but he and the board were able to “accomplish a great deal and move Patchogue forward.”
Among the accomplishments highlighted by Pontieri included:
Trustee Susan Henke Brinkman, who serves as Zoning and Planning commissioner and technical advisor, has applied her experience from the planning and zoning boards to help streamline the village government operations in “nearly every department,” according to Pontieri. “With over 30 years of public service at myriad levels, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our village,” said Pontieri.
