Port Promenade will return for its seventh year with two Thursday evenings of community fun, live music, shopping and outdoor dining on Thursday, June 18, and Thursday, July 16, from 5 to 10 p.m.

On Thursday, Port Promenade will take place on Middle Main Street between Library Drive and Central Avenue. On July 16, the event moves to Upper Main Street between Port Washington Boulevard and Mackey Avenue.

Port Promenade transforms Main Street into a walkable, family-friendly block party with activities for all ages. Planned attractions include a mini golf course, lawn games, a Kids’ Messy Zone and silent disco, along with opportunities to shop local, dine al fresco and enjoy the energy of downtown Port Washington.

Entertainment will be a major highlight of both evenings, with live performances by local musicians and opening acts by students from local training and instructional schools.

June 18 will feature a fashion show by My Style Camp beginning at 5:45 p.m. At 6:15 p.m., Blue Moon TKD will demonstrate their skills, followed by consecutive performances from Spooky Park and Juice Box Acoustic. Port Washington’s Bobby Garofalo will serenade diners throughout both evenings.

The lineup for July 16 will include a full musical show from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. with Dexter Skully and rotating special guests, including Avian Kayam by the train station and the local favorite band from Lennon’s Pub.

Event sponsors include Precision Work Inc. and the Port Washington BID.

“It is with great pleasure that the Port Washington BID and our partners can bring the ultimate block party to Port Washington,” said Holly Byrne, executive director of the Greater Port Washington Business Improvement District. “Port Promenade builds lasting memories for our community and a chance to connect with friends and neighbors while supporting our local merchants.”

Port Promenade is hosted by the Port Washington BID, Landmark on Main Street and the Port Washington Chamber of Commerce, with support from the Port Washington Police Department and the Town of North Hempstead. Landmark on Main Street organizes live entertainment each year, helping highlight local performers and bring the arts to the community in an accessible way.

“Landmark on Main Street is proud to be part of Port Promenade and to give local talent the opportunity to perform for the community,” said Amanda Kowalczuk. “The event reflects the spirit of collaboration that makes Port Washington such a special place.”
