He struggled a bit during his knock and only managed to hit 3 fours. Pandya added a 76-run partnership with Shivam Dube. Shivam made the majority of contribution during their partnership and scored 43 off 15 balls. Pandya was dismissed on the final ball of India's innings.

Hardik Pandya created history during his 30-run knock against Netherlands and became the first Indian player to score 6000 runs and scalp 200 wickets in T20s. Pandya made his T20 debut for Baroda against Madhya Pradesh in 2013.

He shot to the limelight after making his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2015. Pandya's heroics earned him his maiden India call-up for the Australia tour early in 2016 and he was a capped player before IPL 2016.
Pandya is now one of the best pace-bowling all-rounders in world cricket. He made his IPL captaincy debut for Gujarat Titans in 2022 and led them to a title win in their debut season. He returned to MI before IPL 2024 and has been leading them since then.
Pandya has 6008 runs in 279 innings across 323 matches he has played. The right-arm pacer has 222 wickets in the shortest format.
Pandya has also captained India in T20Is. The Men in Blue won 10 out of 16 matches under him. He looked set to replace Rohit Sharma as India's T20I captain after the 2024 World Cup but was pipped by Suryakumar Yadav. Pandya isn't part of the leadership group, but remains a regular in the T20I team.
