Families can explore the shoreline and marine life at Robert Moses State Park during a children’s nature program this summer.

The park will host “Jr. Marine Biologist” on June 27 from 1 to 3 p.m., giving participants the chance to study aquatic wildlife along Fire Island Inlet and the South Shore beaches.

The program is geared toward children and families, and participants should be prepared to hike on sand and get wet. Shoes are required, and organizers recommend water shoes.

Admission is $4 for adults and children. Children younger than 3 are admitted free. A parking fee of $8 or $10 is charged during the fee-collection season.

Reservations are required and may be made beginning two weeks before the event by visiting Eventbrite.com and searching “NatureEdventure.”
