Nassau County Police have arrested a 21-year-old woman in connection with a fatal stabbing that took place at a home on Beaumont Avenue, Massapequa June 1.
Nassau County police responded to the home after officers received a 911 call at approximately 1:30 a.m.
Police closed Beaumont Avenue between Dover Road and Polo Road as detectives processed the scene that morning. Investigators were seen photographing a vehicle parked on the street.
Ambulances and crime scene personnel also responded to the location.
Neighbors said they became aware of the incident after hearing helicopters overhead. Some residents said they believed police were searching for a woman seen running from the area, though police had not confirmed that information.
At press time authorities did not release details about the victim or the circumstances surrounding the death.
