After Pakistan confirmed their place in the Super 8s of the 2026 T20 World Cup following a win over Namibia, the eight teams that will play in the Super 8s of the mega event have been decided. While the Men in Green and India have qualified from Group A, co-hosts Sri Lanka made it to the second round alongside Zimbabwe, as Australia were knocked out in a major upset and the only instance of a seeded team failing to qualify. On the other hand, the West Indies and England qualified for Group C, while South Africa and New Zealand made it from Group D, as 2024 semi-finalist Afghanistan were knocked out.
As the teams were pre-seeded, the position they finished in the group does not matter, with the only change being Zimbabwe taking Australia's place. All Group 1 matches will take place in India, and all Group 2 games will take place in Sri Lanka.
