Delhi Hotel Fire:As the investigation continues in the deadly Delhi hotel fire, which claimed the lives of 21 people, including 11 foreigners, has revealed the key lapses that fuelled the massive blaze. The incident happened at Flourish Stay, a bed-and-breakfast hotel in Malviya Nagar on June 3 (Wednesday). Firefighters rescued over 40 people who were trapped in the basement of the building during the incident, who were later shifted to the hospital.

The probe has revealed that the hotel had just one entry and exit point as one of the key lapses in the hotel fire incident.

Moreover, the hotel also had just two small fire extinguishers; however, they did not have fire sprinklers or fire alarms inside the B&B premises.

The hotel, Flourish Inn, also has permission for only six rooms (three on each floor), but they were running 18 (six on each floor).

Some foreign nationals had come to Delhi for medical treatment and were staying in the building, which caught fire. Tragically, 17 of them were among those who died in the Malviya Nagar fire. Firefighters worked tirelessly to bring the massive blaze under control in Delhi's Malviya Nagar.

Many people trapped inside the building tried desperately to save themselves during the Delhi Malviya Nagar fire. Some were seen jumping from the building, while others cried out for help. People were seen dangling from windows and jumping from the building in a desperate attempt to save themselves from the fire.

According to the Delhi police, rescue and search operations are still underway, and all concerned agencies remain deployed at the spot to ensure every possible assistance to those affected.

Delhi Police has registered an FIR under the culpable homicide section and other relevant sections of BNS in the fire incident. As per reports, the owner of the B&B, Lokesh Bajaj, will be made the main accused. Bajaj is said to be on the run.
