An Indian national has been killed in the attack on Kuwait airport, the Indian Embassy in Kuwait announced on Wednesday. Kuwait briefly suspended commercial flights after an Iranian drone attack hit the country's airport, injuring a number of people hours after Iran and the United States traded missile strikes in the region.

"Embassy of India in Kuwait expresses its deepest condolences at the tragic demise of an Indian national due to an attack on the airport in Kuwait today. The Embassy is in touch with the bereaved family and is closely coordinating with the Kuwaiti authorities to render all possible support and assistance to the bereaved family as well as those injured in the incident," India in Kuwait said in a post on X.

Kuwaiti civil aviation authorities said the country's main airport has partially reopened Wednesday after an Iranian attack damaged it. Kuwait Airways flights resumed from a different terminal from the one that was hit. No other flights would be operating, they said.
