Bengaluru:Karnataka chief minister-designate DK Shivakumar will take oath today (June 3). Shivakumar said that 13 ministers will take oath along with him. Times Now has accessed the list of ministers who will take the oath.
Senior Congress leader G Parameshwara will be the Deputy CM.Parameshwarais likely to be the only deputy CM in the Karnataka government, sources claimed. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will be present at the swearing-in ceremony.
The new Karnataka cabinet will include two leaders from the Vokkaliga community, including Shivakumar. Two ministers will be from minority communities, and two will be from the Dalit community., including Parameshwara,

Last week, Shivakumar was unanimously chosen as the new leader of the Congress Legislative Party (CLP), marking the end of the leadership tussle in Karnataka. Shivakumar's name was proposed by none other than outgoing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah; it was seconded by Parameshwara, after which the CLP passed it unanimously.
Notably, the leadership tussle between Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar first surfaced back in 2023 when the Congress party had won the 2023 Assembly elections
