An investigative visit to multiple listed addresses raised questions about voter registration records as state officials face separate legal action over election data access.

Investigative reporter Nick Shirley released a video this week alleging widespread irregularities within California’s voter registration system, citing concerns about outdated rolls, multiple registrations at single addresses, and the absence of a voter ID requirement.

California does not require voters to present identification in most circumstances, and the state permits extended vote counting periods after Election Day. The system also allows mail-in voting, ballot harvesting, and ballot curing.

In a post accompanying his video, Shirley wrote, “🚨 California is the breeding ground for voter fraud in America, as millions of people vote with no ID, month-long election processes, inaccurate voter rolls, dead people caught voting, even a dog successfully registered to vote, and voter verification is all based on your…” The full post and video are availablehere.

Shirley said he visited multiple addresses listed on California voter rolls and reported that several locations could not verify the voter registrations associated with them. Among the issues he described were more than 30 individuals registered at a single mail store, discrepancies in voter counts per location, and individuals listed as being 125 years old.

“Without any voter ID and negligence from the state government to update their voter rolls, California’s one-party state has created a complex system where fraud is inevitable in their voting process,” Shirley said in the video.

His report referenced a prior case in Orange County involving Laura Lee Yourex, 62, of Costa Mesa. Prosecutors said Yourex illegally registered her dog to vote and cast mail-in ballots in the dog’s name during the 2021 recall election of Governor Gavin Newsom and the 2022 primary election. According to Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer, the ballot submitted in 2021 was counted, while the 2022 ballot was rejected.
