The founder of the online movementCockroach Janta Party(CJP), Abhijeet Dipke, has announced that he will return to India from the United States this week (June 6) to lead a protest in New Delhi, escalating his campaign over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations and the handling of recent education-related controversies. In a video message posted on social media platform X on Monday, Dipke said he would arrive in Delhi on June 6 and seek permission for a peaceful demonstration at Jantar Mantar, with supporters demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The announcement comes as public anger continues to simmer over alleged examination mismanagement, including concerns surrounding NEET and other recruitment and board examinations, which have become a major political flashpoint in recent weeks.

What began as an online satirical movement has increasingly evolved into a platform for student-led activism. Dipke, who is currently pursuing studies in the United States, has gained a significant following on social media through the Cockroach Janta Party, a digital-first movement that uses humour, memes and political satire to highlight governance issues. In recent months, the group's focus has shifted sharply towards education, examination transparency and student welfare.

His planned protest will mark his first visit to India since launching the movement.

"You have been seeing for so many days that we are raising our voice on social media. Because of paper leaks and the way the hard work of lakhs of students has been affected, Dharmendra Pradhan should resign," Dipke said in his video message.

The demand comes amid sustained criticism from opposition parties and student groups over the government's handling of examination-related issues.

In his appeal to supporters, Dipke outlined a detailed roadmap for the proposed demonstration.

"I will come to Delhi on June 6. All of you meet me at the airport. Together, we will go to the Parliament Street Police Station and ask for permission to hold a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar," he said.

The CJP founder said that the protest would be conducted within the framework of the Constitution and democratic norms. "The time has come for all of us to come together and peacefully raise our voices. If we speak together, they will have to listen," he added.

His call has quickly gained traction online, with supporters sharing clips of the video and discussing plans to participate in the demonstration.
