The rename is contingent on approval from the Federal Aviation Administration and an agreement with Trump for the commercial use of his name, at no cost to the county.

Weinberger has said that the Trump family has agreed “to completely waive the trademark for the Trump name to Palm Beach International.”

The Trump Organization has already filed trademarks for “President Donald J. Trump International Airport” and related terms, according to a report fromUSA Today.

Palm Beach County officials estimate the name change could cost around $5.5 million for new signs, uniforms, branding, and tech updates.
