The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the portal for re-evaluation and post result help for class 12 students will now be operational from June 1, Monday.

"In order to ensure a transparent and glitch-free process for verification and re-evaluation of answer books of students who intend to submit their applications on the Post-Result Activities portal, it has been decided that the designated portal will now be operational from 1st June 2026. This is to ensure the highest standards and protocols of evaluation," an official statement from the Board read.

"Students who may have queries may reach out to the CBSE Tele-Counseling Helpline- 1800 11 8004 and

Email- [email protected]," the statement added.

Earlier, the national education board was supposed to make the re-evaluation portal operation from today, i.e. May 29. However, the board claims that the postponement has been done to 'ensure the highest standards and protocols of evaluation'.

This postponement comes at a time when students have already been complaining about discrepancies in the portal through which students had to register to get scanned copies of their class 12 answer sheets.

Students have also alleged that the new on-screen marking (OSM) system has cost them marks, due to poor quality of scanning and unmarked questions or wrongly scanned copies. However,CBSE earlier today claimedthat OSM portal is backed by a secure and robust IT platform. CBSE has emphasised that students’ answer sheets are fully protected during the process the scanning and evaluation stages.

Meanwhile, the Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi has alleged that the national education board called forOSM tenders thrice, and no company qualified for the first and second time, after which CBSE lowered the technical bar which helped COEMPT win the bid. This allegation has been dismissed by CBSE, and several BJP leaders such as Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan,Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma, Kire Rijiju, and more.

Rijiju alleged that "multiple institutions functioning under Congress governments continue to engage" with the Hyderabad-based company, Coempt Eduteck Pvt. Ltd. He also alleged that the "documented records include agreements & work orders from Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru City University, Adikavi Sri Maharshi Valmiki University and Karnataka University, Dharwad between 2023 and 2025" -- institutions run by Congress governments in Telangana and Karnataka.
