The Corcoran Group, one of real estate’s best-known and biggest brands, is expanding on Long Island beyond the East End and nearby Manhattan into central Nassau with a Syosset office designed to serve Nassau and western Suffolk.
Corcoran, which includes more than 140 offices and over 4,500 salespeople, announced it had expanded its franchise network by launching Corcoran SRG Residential in Syosset.
The office, 303 Jackson Avenue in Syosset, is led by SRG Residential founders David Cohen, Jared Sarney, and Sam Horowitz, serving Melville, Dix Hills, Plainview, Old Bethpage, Woodbury, Syosset, Huntington, Port Washington, Roslyn, Merrick, and beyond.
“Long Island is an incredibly dynamic real estate market,” Corcoran Group CEO and President Pamela Liebman said in a written statement. “SRG Residential has built a strong reputation across Syosset, Melville, Old Bethpage, and beyond.”
She said the three leaders bring an “exceptional mix of local expertise and deep commitment to both their clients and affiliated agents,” including new construction and existing properties.
Liebman also called their joining a “natural fit for Corcoran,” whose presence in Central Long Island creates a link to the “Corcoran brand’s established brokerage footprint in New York City and the Hamptons.”
This is an affiliation, not a merger or an acquisition, as the existing brokerage comes under the Corcoran umbrella as an independently owned and operated franchise. New signage is expected in the coming days or weeks for the office, whose team currently includes around 25 agents.
SRG Residential, founded in 2023, has been responsible for $800 million in sales since its inception, according to Corcoran, a subsidiary of Compass International Holdings.
Corcoran SRG Residential is part of the Corcoran Affiliate Network, The Corcoran Group’s franchise nationwide and global network.
The Corcoran Group also owns brokerages in locations such as New York City, the Hamptons (South Fork, North Fork, Shelter Island), as well as South Florida (Miami and Palm Beach).
