Hallways and classrooms acrossMineolawere filled with pride, excitement and vibrant color as Hampton Street, Jackson Avenue and Meadow Drive elementary schools hosted their annual Celebration of Learning.

The community-wide event, held on May 19, welcomed hundreds of parents into classrooms to witness firsthand the academic milestones and artistic achievements of Mineola’s youngest learners.

The Celebration of Learning went beyond traditional open houses, placing students at the center of the experience. Stepping into the role of leaders, students proudly guided their families through their portfolios, demonstrating the district’s core pillars of visible learning and responsive instruction.

Complementing the classroom showcases, the schools were transformed into sprawling art galleries. The hallways were overflowing with stunning displays of painting, sculpture and mixed-media projects created by the students over the course of the school year, reflecting the district’s deep commitment to the visual arts.

The district extends its gratitude to the dedicated faculty, staff and enthusiastic families whose partnership makes responsive instruction and student success possible every day.
