The GOP isn’t the only party cleaning house as they progress through the primaries. MAGA has been picking off some of the spineless RINOS who cave at the first sign of a fight. Dems, on the other hand, have been watching unflinching Commies start to swell their ranks.
That’s not even a dig. We’re WAY past the days where we would quibble over whether ‘Progressive’ is a centrist or a socialist. We now have candidates winning primaries after leaning into the banner of ‘Communist’.
In places like Texas, they’re still playing coy, wrapping candidates in that spoonful of sugar so they don’t SEEM like the radicals they really are. Talirico tries to be aw-shucks Jesus-agrees-with-me-and-I-should-know-because-I-went-to-Seminary-and-you-didn’t. Ramping up the ‘love your neighbor’ end of Christ’s message while conveniently leaving off the beating heart of what Christ came to say, namely: ‘Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.’ It’s hard to talk plainly about the repentance part when you carefully airbrush any idea of sin out of the conversation, except when he blasts the Church for being too ‘unkind’, or however it was that he framed his latest attack.
But Blue states, or states with strong blue strongholds don’t have to be coy, do they? Michigan and Minnesota have sent people to Congress who speak more warmly about Hamas and Hezbollah than they do of our own soldiers. In NYC, a Communist with some very shady jihadi-friendly connections (or is that the other way around?) leveraged a divided vote to become mayor. The only reason Bernie Sanders never became the DNC’s presidential nominee is because the political machine stepped in and blocked him… in two consecutive cycles.
Is it any wonder they didn’t look too closely under the hood when Maine Dems ran an open Communist for Senate? There was a moderate in the race, former Governor Janet Mills. She had name recognition and past success at winning state wide. But the moderate didn’t have the money and support thet Bernie and Pocahontas threw behind Nazi Tattoo guy. The moderate dropped out, but Nazi Tattoo guy remained.
The memes practically wrote themselves…
YES, we are going to twist the knife on this one. After how the left tried to skewer Elon on a gesture that was extending his heart to the crowd, they absolutely deserve to own this.
Or maybe vet your Senate candidates better?
The tattoo thing was a scandal, but Dems figured they could turn the page and ride it out. (Why wouldn’t they? The manage to deflect from a Virginia Governor’s infanticide comments, to a yearbook photo where one wore blackface and the other wore a Klan robe. and HE never suffered real reputational damage for it.)
Dems doubled down on Graham Platner. He became their ride-or-die. But it got harder and harder to do so. Hardly a week went by without a fresh dump of oppo coming out to make him look bad, most of it cribbed from the man’s own social media.
