As the CBI prepares to arrest Twisha Sharma’s mother-in-law Giribala Singh in connection with the high-profile death case, the investigative agency has now begun deploying advanced digital reconstruction techniques to recreate the final hours of the Noida woman inside her marital home in Bhopal. Sources said investigators are trying to connect several “missing links” and unexplained time gaps through a "tunnel view" approach.
Officers from the CBI’s Special Crime-III unit are currently recording and analysing the statements of both accused - Giribala Singh and her son and Twisha's husband Samarth Singh, as part of the expanding investigation. The agency has begun using the “tunnel view” investigation approach to digitally reconstruct Twisha’s final movements inside the three-floor Katara Hills residence.
Investigators are creating a minute-by-minute virtual timeline by combining CCTV footage, mobile phone records, Wi-Fi logs, call detail records and forensic mapping of different rooms in the house. The digital walkthrough is expected to visually recreate Twisha’s movements, identify who entered or exited specific areas and establish the sequence of events leading up to her death.
Twisha’s father Navnidhi Sharma has also shared crucial details with investigators. According to sources, Twisha had called her father on WhatsApp at around 9:41 pm on the night of the incident. Her mother answered the call and allegedly heard Samarth shouting in the background before the call got abruptly disconnected.
A panicked Navnidhi Sharma then repeatedly tried calling Giribala Singh for nearly 20 minutes, but the calls allegedly went unanswered.
Sources said investigators are now closely examining the timeline between the last call and the information eventually reaching police authorities. Preliminary findings being examined by the agency suggest Twisha may have died by hanging around 10:20 pm, while police reportedly received information from AIIMS Bhopal only around midnight.
Officials are expected to synchronise CCTV timestamps, internet activity and mobile phone usage to generate a simulated walkthrough of the final hours. Investigators are also probing whether any digital evidence was altered, deleted or concealed after the incident.
The CBI is using the reconstruction exercise to examine whether there were signs of coercion, foul play or attempts to manipulate the scene after Twisha’s death.
