2026 Tata Tiago, Tiago EV Launch Live:2026 Tata Tiago and Tiago EV will launch in India today with major updates across design, cabin technology, features and equipment. Tata Motors has already revealed most of the exterior and interior changes ahead of the official price announcement, and both hatchbacks now look noticeably more premium than before. The updated Tiago gets a sharper front fascia inspired by newer Tata models, redesigned bumpers, slimmer lighting elements and a connected-style rear lightbar. The Tiago EV also adopts a cleaner EV-specific face with revised LED detailing and fresh alloy wheel designs.InteriorInside, the changes are even more extensive. Both hatchbacks receive an all-new dashboard layout with a floating touchscreen infotainment system, revised centre console and larger digital displays. Top variants will feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen, dual wireless phone chargers, rear AC vents, Type-C charging ports and a 360-degree camera, features rarely seen in this segment. Tata is also adding paddle shifters on AMT variants of both the petrol and CNG-powered Tiago, a move that could become a major talking point at launch.Mechanical DetailsMechanically, the Tiago is expected to continue with the familiar 1.2-litre petrol engine along with factory-fitted CNG variants. Mileage figures are likely to remain close to the current model, which delivers around 19 kmpl in petrol form, while the CNG versions are expected to continue targeting cost-conscious city buyers.The Tiago EV is expected to retain its existing battery pack options, though Tata could fine-tune efficiency and feature packaging. The current model offers a claimed MIDC range of up to 315 km, and the facelift is expected to continue targeting urban EV buyers looking for an affordable electric hatchback.Expected Price and RivalsExpected prices for the 2026 Tata Tiago could start from around Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Tiago EV facelift is likely to begin near the Rs 8 lakh mark. Both cars will continue rivalling hatchbacks such as the Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Celerio, Swift and Citroen eC3 EV in their respective segments.
