The recentfloods in Los Angelesalmost made a pair of Waymos no-mo’.
Onlookers captured video of the self-driving cars stuck in flood waters Monday as heavy rains deluged the city. It wasn’t clear if there were passengers stuck inside the autonomous vehicles or if they eventually made their way out.
One of the cars was seen with its caution lights on as it sat near the intersection of Melrose and Wilcox Avenue.
“Might need to work on that ‘all-weather’ driving,” content creator Samantha Dockserwrotein an Instagram post featuring the clip.

“Hopefully nobody inside,” one viewer wrote in the comments.
Others clever commenters took the opportunity to crack jokes at the waterlogged Waymos.
“Waymo water than I was expecting,” one wrote.
“This passenger clearly ordered the Car-Pool option,” another added.
Waymo previously touted its weather capabilities. The companytold KXANlast month that it “closely monitor[s] the conditions” of weather in cities where it operates and that it “will adjust our operations accordingly.”
