Advocate Ankur Pandey, counsel for her family, informed that accused Samarth Singh had been granted a seven-day remand by the concerned Magistrate's Court, valid until May 29. However, in the interim, since the State had already granted its consent for the CBI to intervene, the agency has registered a new FIR.
Consequently, the CBI will now conduct the subsequent investigation. "From this point forward, the CBI will conduct the investigation, and Samarth's custody has been officially handed over to the CBI. If, after the 29th, the CBI deems it necessary, they may seek further remand from the concerned CBI Court. The entire proceedings will now be under the jurisdiction of the CBI Court and the CBI as the investigating agency," Pandey added.
