UPSC Prelims Answer Key 2026: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the provisional answer key for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Preliminary Exam 2026 today. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check and download the answer key from the official website, upsc.gov.in.

The UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 was conducted on May 24 across multiple centres in the country. The examination consisted of two objective-type papers: General Studies (GS) Paper 1 and the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) or Paper 2.

As per the schedule announced by UPSC, candidates can submit their representations from the third day of the examination date up to 6 pm on the seventh day. This effectively gives candidates a five-day window to raise objections.

Candidates are advised to carefully review the provisional answer key and compare it with their recorded responses before filing objections. UPSC is expected to examine all representations received during the objection period before finalising the answer key.

UPSC has released the provisional answer keys separately for both papers conducted in the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026 — General Studies (GS) Paper 1 and the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) or Paper 2. Candidates can check the answer keys corresponding to their respective question paper sets to evaluate their performance and calculate probable scores.

While GS Paper 1 is considered for determining the cut-off for the prelims stage, CSAT Paper 2 is qualifying in nature. Candidates are required to secure the minimum qualifying marks in CSAT in addition to meeting the cut-off criteria in GS Paper 1 to be shortlisted for the Mains examination.

For more information, candidates are advised to visit the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in.
