Forget the Mickey bars and churro stands — one woman decided to go full fairy tale to celebrate her 40th birthday.
Digital creator Toree McGee went viral after sharing her experience splurging $18,000 onDisneyland’sluxe, velvet-rope dining secret: 21 Royal, the private suite tucked above New Orleans Square, perched just over the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.
The residence was originally designed as a private apartment for Walt and Lillian Disney as a luxurious retreat where the couple could host celebrities, dignitaries, and VIP’s.
“I spent $18,000 on my 40th birthday dinner atDisneyland,” McGee captioned herTikTok video, which has already racked up over 400,000 views. “And I’d do it again tomorrow if I could.”
The evening began with McGee and 11 of her closest friends being whisked away to the suite, and being treated to a level of service fit for a royal.
For $18,000, the evening included three personal butlers, two personal chefs, and an on-sire sommelier.
“We were able to explore, take photos and video, and experience the little magical parts inside the apartment,” McGee shared, showing off a “magic” mirror that has special lighting effects.
The centerpiece of the night was a decadent seven-course meal featuring caviar sourced specifically for the 21 Royal kitchen, Wagyu steaks “that aren’t served anywhere else in the world,” plus wine, cocktail and champagne pairings.
The night culminated with a private viewing of the “Fantasmic!” and the park’s fireworks display from the apartment’s legendary balcony, offering a bird’s-eye view of the crowds below.
