Memorial Day commemorations held throughout southeast Nassau County

Several commemorative events took place on Monday, May 25, for Memorial Day across Nassau County,honoring the men and women of the United States military who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Despite the rain and poor weather, several events were either canceled or altered, but residents in Bethpage, Farmingdale, Hicksville, Levittown, Plainview, and Old Bethpage commemorated the holiday with parades.
