The deadlock over the power struggle did not come to an end on Tuesday as well as senior Congress leader KC Venugopal publicly dismissed speculation over a leadership change in Karnataka and informed that Siddaramaiah is going to continue as the Chief Minister following a high-level meeting in Delhi.

He even maintained that the discussions were limited to Rajya Sabha and Legislative Council elections, and no talks regarding Karnataka power sharing were held.

The meeting took place at the Congress headquarters in Delhi and was attended by Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Surjewala.
