A horrifying incident has come to light in Rajasthan’s Ajmer district, where a 20-year-old woman was allegedly abducted by a man along with his associates and later taken to a secluded hilly area, where she was allegedly raped and murdered. The incident has sent shockwaves across the region.
Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s father, Rajasthan Police have registered a case at the Gegal police station. According to the complaint, the accused, a resident of another village, arrived at the victim’s house in a car with his friends at around 8:30 am on Monday and forcibly took the woman away. It is alleged that the accused took her to a forested hilly area, where she was sexually assaulted and later strangled to death.
After the incident, the accused allegedly called his grandmother and informed her that he had consumed poison. When family members reached the spot, they found the man in an unconscious state, while the woman was lying dead. Both were immediately taken to Yagyanarayan Hospital in Kishangarh, where doctors declared the woman dead. The accused is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Given the seriousness of the case, Gegal police have called in FSL and MOB teams to the crime scene. The teams have recovered crucial evidence from the accused Prakash Singh’s car. Circle Officer (Rural) Ramchandra Chaudhary said that the woman’s body has been kept in the hospital mortuary for post-mortem and a detailed investigation is underway.
