Four Paul D. Schreiber High School students earned top awards from the National Council Teachers of English.
Four Paul D. Schreiber High School students have earned national distinction in the 2026 National Council of Teachers of English Achievement Awards in Writing, one of the most prestigious student writing competitions in the country.This year 689 students from 38 states, Puerto Rico, Washington D.C., and six countries competed. National judges evaluated each piece of writing for expression of ideas, language use, and unique perspective and voice. The contest awards four distinctions, First Class, Superior, Excellent, and Merit.Sadie Liberman earned First Class, the highest distinction, Anna North, Joey Jia and Michael Isserles were awarded Superior.“This recognition is a testament to the extraordinary voices our students are developing as writers and to the culture of serious, purposeful writing we nurture every day in our English classrooms,” said Eileen Mills, Schreiber English Department chair.For morescene & seen event photos, click here.
