The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested another key accused in the alleged NEET UG 2026 paper leak case.
The accused has been identified as Manisha Sanjay Havaldar, who is currently employed at Seth Hiralal Saraf Prashala in Pune, Maharashtra.
According to the CBI, Havaldar was involved in the NEET UG 2026 examination process and like others, had been appointed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an expert. She allegedly had complete access to the Physics question papers. CBI has alleged that that during April 2026, Havaldar shared several Physics questions with co-accused Manisha Mandhare, who was arrested earlier on May 16. The Agency further alleged that the questions shared by her matched the Physics questions that appeared in the NEET UG 2026 examination, that was conducted on May 3, 2026.
The CBI has also conducted searches at multiple locations across the country and seized incriminating documents, laptops, bank statements and mobile phones. Officials said detailed analysis of the seized material is currently underway.
The case for alleged NEET paper leak was registered by the CBI on May 12, 2026, following a written complaint from the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education (MoE) regarding the alleged leak of the NEET UG 2026 question paper. Following the registration of the case, special investigation teams were formed and searches were carried out across the country. So far, 11 accused have been arrested in this case from Delhi, Jaipur, Gurugram, Nasik, Pune, Latur and Ahliyanagar.
The probe has reportedly identified the source of the alleged paper leak. The CBI has stated that themiddlemen involved in mobilising students and arranging special coaching sessions, where questions allegedly linked to the NEET UG 2026 exam were shared, have also been identified and arrested.
The agency has further identified and arrested all three teachers allegedly linked to the preparation of the NEET UG 2026 examination paper. The agency is probing Manisha Sanjay Havaldar's links with Manisha Waghmare, Manisha Mandhare and PV Kulkarni.
