In a moment of immense pride, Vineet Jain, Managing Director of Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd, was honoured with the prestigious “I Am Peacekeeper Champion Business Award” at the Billionaires for Peace Conclave held at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai. The event brought together global leaders, Nobel Peace Laureates and influential changemakers committed to promoting peace, sustainability and responsible leadership across the world.
Earlier this year, The Times Group MD had also received the “Lifetime Contribution to Media” award. The honour was bestowed on the occasion of All India Management Association’s (AIMA) 70th Foundation Day and 20th National Management Day, and was presented to him by Union Cabinet Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan. At the time Mr Jain had dedicated the award to his colleagues, who according to him, had worked tirelessly to make The Times Group India’s largest multimedia company.

Mr Jain received the honour from an illustrious panel of internationally acclaimed awardees, including Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Houcine Abassi, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Leymah Roberta Gbowee, and Blue Planet Prize Laureate Mohan Munasinghe. The recognition celebrated Mr Jain’s outstanding contribution to India’s media and communication landscape, as well as his role in shaping modern media innovation and educational advancement.
Under Mr Jain’s leadership, The Times Group has emerged as India’s largest and most respected multi-platform media organisation, with a commanding presence across newspapers, television, digital platforms, radio and out-of-home media.
Widely regarded as a visionary business leader, he was among the first in the Indian media industry to recognise the transformative power of digital technology and new media during the 1990s. His early adoption of the internet revolution and pioneering efforts in private FM radio helped redefine the future of media consumption in India.

Over the years, Mr Jain has successfully diversified the Group’s portfolio beyond print media by building several influential brands across media, entertainment, and sports. These include Times NOW, ET NOW, Zoom, Movies NOW, Times Music, Times OOH, Junglee Pictures, and the Indian Pickleball League. His strategic foresight has enabled The Times Group to remain at the forefront of India’s rapidly evolving media ecosystem while continuing to maintain credibility and audience trust.
Mr Jain is also credited with revolutionising newspaper content and developing innovative content strategies for television, radio and digital platforms. Beyond media, he has shown a deep commitment to nation-building through education and youth empowerment. Initiatives such as Bennett University and TimesPro reflect his vision of nurturing future-ready talent and expanding access to quality education.
Organised by Dr Huzaifa Khorakiwala, the I Am Peacekeeper Movement’s “I Am Peacekeeper Champion Business Award” recognised Mr Jain’s enduring contribution to media excellence, innovation, education, and socially responsible leadership on a global stage.
