The Honda City facelift has finally been launched in India at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 11.99 lakh, which is the same as its predecessor. It is a part of Honda's extensive future product strategy, as the company has confirmed plans to introduce six new models in FY26-27. The City facelift is accompanied by the much-awaited ZR-V with strong e:HEV technology, which has also made its India debut for the first time. Here's what the new Honda City brings to the table for modern sedan lovers in the country.
The feature list has grown significantly with the addition of USB Type-C charging ports for both front and rear occupants as well as ventilated front seats. Other amenities include an eight-speaker sound system, a rear sunshade, and an electric sunroof.
In terms of safety, the 2026 iteration continues to pack six airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and a blind-spot monitoring system. The car also boasts a Level-2 ADAS with features such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Low Speed Follow on the hybrid variant, Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Road Departure Mitigation, and Lane Keep Assist.

The new Honda City has the same petrol and hybrid engine options currently on sale. The 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine produces 119hp and 145Nm, and is available with either a six-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. Honda has also retained the strong-hybrid powertrain (1.5 litre NA petrol-hybrid). The latter claims a claimed fuel efficiency of 27.26km/l, which is touted to be the highest in its segment.
The Honda City facelift continues to be offered in multiple variants across petrol manual, petrol CVT and strong hybrid powertrains. Prices for the updated sedan start at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the SV petrol manual variant, while the V petrol manual is priced at Rs 13.29 lakh. The ZX petrol manual variant costs Rs 15.25 lakh, whereas the fully packed ZX+ petrol CVT is priced at Rs 17.14 lakh. Honda has also retained the strong hybrid version, with the top-spec ZX+ Hybrid priced at Rs 20.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, Honda has kept the introductory pricing largely unchanged despite adding several styling and feature upgrades to the facelifted model.
