“The Mandalorian and Grogu” is an adventure film set in the "Star Wars" universe, and follows legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin and his young apprentice Grogu on their journey to change the fate of the galaxy. The film was released in the United States on Friday and is scheduled to open in Korea on Wednesday.

In the video, Hyundai Steel compares the teamwork of Din Djarin and Grogu to the company’s operation of a hybrid process combining an electric furnace and blast furnace.

The company also borrowed the film’s iconic phrase, “This is the way,” to connect it with Hyundai Steel’s efforts to pioneer the market through the carbon-reducing production processes.

“Through the video, we tried to expand our communication channels so the public can engage with Hyundai Steel in a more familiar way through the 'Star Wars' film,” a Hyundai Steel official said. “We hope the collaboration will help raise awareness of Hyundai Steel while also supporting promotion of the movie.”

In February, Hyundai Steel launched the world’s first hybrid process combining molten steel from electric furnaces and blast furnaces, beginning full-scale mass production of carbon-reduced steel plates that cut carbon emissions by 20 percent compared with the company’s existing blast furnace-made products.

“Through the hybrid process, which combines our differentiated expertise in electric furnace operations with blast furnace technologies, we have taken the lead in supplying carbon-reduced products,” the official said. “We will proactively respond to global clients’ demands for lower-carbon materials and actively support the carbon neutrality transition of demand industries such as automotive and energy steel.”
