President Donald Trump might skip out on his eldest son's wedding due to bad timing.
During an event announcing an overhaul of two Biden-era Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rules, the president was asked if he would attendDonald TrumpJr.'s wedding to model Bettina Anderson. "Uh, he'd like me to go, but it's going to be just a small little private affair," said Trump.
The president said he would try to make the event. "I said, 'You know, this is not good timing for me with Iran and other things.'" He joked that if he attended the wedding, he would be killed by the "fake news," but it would be the same outcome if he didn't go. It came asEric Trump finally revealed the 7 words his brother Barron whispered into Joe Biden's ear.
Trump said he's known his son's girlfriend for a long time and wishes them luck on a great marriage. However, his comments didn't sit well with some online.
"Trump has been golfing every weekend since the Iran war began, but can't attend his son's wedding due to the Iran war?" asked one person. "Got it."
"Translation: It doesn't directly involve me, so I couldn't give a flying f--k about it," accused another person.
Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson announced their engagement late last year after about a year of dating. The couple has kept quiet about their plans, but several outlets have reported that they could get married as early as Memorial Day weekend.
The couple was first seen together in 2024, shortly after Don Jr. split from Fox News Host and U.S. Ambassador to Greece, Kimberly Guilfoyle. Don Jr. was previously married to Vanessa Trump, who he shares five children with, including Kai Trump.
