A 23-year-old Dalit woman has accused a group of men of abducting, gang-raping and brutally torturing her in Delhi’s Batla House area, while also attempting to forcibly convert her religion. According to her complaint, she came in contact with a man on social media in 2021 who introduced himself as Sahil. She later allegedly found out that his real name was Faheem. The accused allegedly claimed he belonged to a wealthy Hindu family and wanted to marry her.
The woman alleged that in 2022, she was called to Batla House, where she was allegedly gang-raped. She claimed the accused, along with one of her friends, recorded videos of the assault and later used them to blackmail her. She was later allegedly taken to Meerut, where she was sexually assaulted again.
In her statement, the woman further alleged that she later discovered Faheem and some of his relatives were involved in illegal arms trading. “He used to soak me in blood to scare me. He would shower me with animal meat to frighten me,” she alleged, according to a report by News18.
She also claimed that she was later tortured by another accused, identified as Tasleem Maulvi.
Following the complaint, the South East Delhi Police registered an FIR and arrested four accused in connection with the case.
“Since she was first allegedly gang-raped in the Batla House area, an FIR was lodged in this connection at Jamia Nagar Police Station. We have arrested four persons in this case,” police officials said.
As per the FIR, Faheem was arrested by Gurugram Police in 2025 and the mobile phone allegedly containing the woman’s photos and videos was seized. The complainant said this gave her confidence that the material could no longer be leaked.
However, she alleged that Faheem later contacted her from Mandoli Jail and that she also received threatening calls from a Dubai-based number. Police said further investigation is underway.
