DEVELOPING: Active Shooter at Islamic Center in San Diego – At Least Two Dead, Multiple Injured

The San Diego Police Department was on scene at the Islamic Center of San Diego on Monday afternoon amid reports of an active shooter.

At least two people are dead, and multiple people are injured.

The motive for the shooting is unclear.

The suspect has not been identified.

“SDPD is on scene at the Islamic Center of San Diego in the 7000 block of Eckstrom Ave for a reported active shooter,” San Diego police said.

“Please avoid the area. Updates to follow,” they said.

News chopper footage showed a man lying in a pool of blood after the shooting.
