Twisha Sharma Death Case:A CCTV footage has emerged showing the moments leading up to Twisha Sharma being found dead at her marital residence in Bhopal. The video, released by news agency PTI, shows the 33-year-old Noida-based woman walking up a staircase towards the terrace around 7:20 am on May 12.

In the footage, Twisha is seen alone heading towards the terrace in the Katara Hills locality. About an hour later, her husband Samarth Singh, along with a neighbour and a domestic helper, is seen attempting CPR on her at a staircase landing. Her mother-in-law, Giribala Singh, is also seen briefly entering a room, coming out shortly after, and then moving downstairs.

Despite repeated attempts at resuscitation, the efforts appear to fail, after which the men are seen carrying her body to a lower floor.

Meanwhile, Samarth Singh, who is a lawyer, is reportedly absconding, and police have announced a Rs 10,000 reward for any information leading to his arrest. The couple had met via a dating app in 2024 and got married in December 2025.

The case took a new turn on Monday after Twisha’s mother-in-law, a retired judge, rejected allegations of dowry harassment and murder made by the victim’s family. She instead claimed that Twisha had a history of psychiatric treatment and substance use.

Giribala Singh alleged that Twisha had been undergoing mental health treatment and had been prescribed medication “given to a schizophrenic patient”. She further stated that Twisha had admitted to using “large quantities of marijuana during pregnancy”.

She also accused Twisha’s parents of forcing her into the entertainment industry at a young age and later cutting ties with her, while maintaining that the family attempted to save her after she was discovered hanging.

Police clarified that the claims regarding Twisha’s alleged drug use were included in the husband’s bail plea, but the Special Investigation Team (SIT) is probing the case strictly under FIR sections related to dowry harassment and abetment to suicide, ACP Rajneesh Kashyap told PTI.
