Scott Ritter, the former UN weapons inspector, toldGeorge Galloway’s MOATSon Sunday that Iran does not fear President Donald Trump and that if the American leader makes good on his new threats against Tehran to agree to a deal or face destruction, Iran will respond decisively.
He said if the U.S. attacks, the UAE will “cease to exist as a viable nation state…it’s all over for the UAE…Kuwait may go that way, Bahrain may go that way, but, at a minimum, the United Arab Emirates will be erased from the planet.”
He continued: “Iran is done playing games; they are done playing the game of escalation management; they will no longer match the escalation of others…if they’re attacked, they’re coming in with the knockout blow.”
CNNreportedthat Trump met with top officials from his national security team on Saturday to discuss the war and the risks of a new round of fighting.
He posted on Truth Social on Sunday (after a call with Netanyahu): ““For Iran, the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE! President DJT.”
